Fifteen industry awards were recently given to HP’s imaging and printing business products and services -- including the first Technological Innovation Award (https://www.betterbuys.com/ec/default.asp) presented by Industry Analysts, Inc. as well as Buyer’s Lab’s ‘Outstanding Achievement of the User Interface Design’ for HP’s multifunction devices.

Industry Analysts, Inc. selected The HP Universal Print Driver for Windows® for its first Technological Innovation Award and also recognized HP Web Jetadmin as the Best Print Management Solution.

Seven HP printers received the Editors Choice distinction from Better Buys for Business based on their high performance and overall great value to the customer. See article for details.

In the SmallBusinessComputing.com awards, HP captured honors in the program’s three printing categories – Color (HP LaserJet 2605dn), Black & White (HP LaserJet 2500) and Multifunction (HP Officejet 4315 All-in-One).

The editors of The Best PC Magazine included the HP Color LaserJet 4730 MFP in their ‘Top 25 Products of 2006’.

Buyers Lab selected HP Multifunction printers to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award for User Interface Design. In addition, HP was awarded the Outstanding Small Workgroup Monochrome Multifunctional Printer award with the HP LaserJet M3035xs.

In addition, these products reinforce HP’s industry leadership and helped HP rank sixth on CIO Insights ‘Top 40 Vendors’ list, surpassing all other competitors in the printer services and solutions market.

HP has received PC Magazine's Readers’ Choice Award for printer satisfaction for the 15th consecutive year; one of the top two this year.

PC World has named TouchSmart IQ770 one of ‘Today’s Most Innovative Products’. The IQ770 is the first all-in-one PC on the market to boast a touch-screen display.

In features and performance, the HP Pavilion Elite m9040n is worthy of its ‘Elite’ moniker, yet it's much more populist in price. Given a 4.5 out of 5 rating, the Elite wins the Editors Choice Award. Computer Shopper (online) gave the HP Pavilion Slimline s3330f Desktop an 8.5 out of 10 rating, earning it an Editors’ Choice Award. Loaded with fun features, the Slimline s3330f is hard to beat if you're in the market for a compact desktop system with top-shelf desktop entertainment components.

CNET has rated the Pavilion Slimline s3330f PC a “spectacular” 9.1 out of 10 and an Editors’ Choice Award. Stating that it delivers a remarkable combination of features, value, and flexibility, the Slimline s3303f brings more entertainment capability, and at a better price, than any other system on the market.

With 4.5 of a possible 5 rating the Pavilion HDX Entertainment Notebook is awarded ‘Editors Choice’ from Laptop magazine. Read why HDX has pulled away from the field of competitors.

The HP ProLiant DL380 G5 server has won Editors’ Choice in a PC Magazine Labs comparative review of sme servers. The DL380 performs well and the bundled management features are the most compelling reason to purchase this server.

SearchServerVirtualization.com recently announced the winners of its first annual Products of the Year awards and HP’s Virtual Connect architecture won Gold in the Hardware for Virtualization category. With its Virtual Connect technology, HP made serious inroads toward alleviating the problem of managing network and storage connections in a virtual architecture. InfoWorld’s 2008 Technology of the Year Awards has chosen HP BladeSystem c3000 as best blade system for small sites in the Hardware category. Nicknames ‘Shorty’, the c3000 stuffs eight half-size server or storage blades into just 6U, offering the space-constrained shop a compelling alternative to full-size blade systems and stand-alone machines.

Comprehensive administration tools make the system an easy-to-deploy and easy-to-manage proposition for small businesses and remote offices as well. The larger initial expenditure versus stand-alone servers is easily offset by more effective systems management, lower power and cooling costs, and easier maintenance and scalability.

PC Magazine has awarded the HP StorageWorks AiO400t its Editor’s Choice ranking. Deep backup and data protection features, along with a dedicated Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 operating system, deliver as much storage flexibility as any small or midsize business will need. PC Magazine says the AiO400t is an entirely business-oriented NAS platform — and an impressive one at that.

HP ProLiant Storage Server with iSCSI Feature Pack has won the Windows IT Pro Community Choice Award in the iSCI Storage Array category. Article lists winners and runners up.

With prices based on managed nodes with 100 nodes, HP Storage Essentials Enterprise Edition has won recommended status from Techworld. Pros listed were: Multi-vendor storage hardware support, well designed management interface, plug-in modules make for extreme versatility, very good reporting and provisioning tools. Storage Essentials is a versatile solution for most enterprise storage networks.

In NetworkWorld’s recent Clear Choice Test of products that provide storage management features across heterogeneous environments, HP’s Storage Essentials Enterprise Edition got the nod over Symantec's Veritas CommandCentral Storage for supporting more devices on the storage-area network — particularly from smaller vendors — and for its scalability. Storage Essentials also held the highest score (4.6 of possible 5) among all storage products, including NAS appliances and storage servers, tested last year.

HP's Insight Power Manager (IPM) has placed third in SearchDataCenter.com’s Products of the Year awards in the Capacity and Power Management Tools category.

Focusing solely on the power side of the equation, IPM allows users to measure power consumption and air temperature for servers, as well as setting power caps for servers that don't need the maximum consumption listed on the nameplates. For more details check the URL attached.

HP announced that it has been named to SD Times Magazine’s annual SD Times 100, a listing of industry leaders in software development. HP testing and quality management software solutions were named a leader in the ‘Test and Quality Assurance’ category. SD Times notes in its 2007 rankings that the test tools HP acquired through Mercury in November 2006 have been the industry standard for more than a decade. Leading analyst firm IDC recently declared HP the uncontested revenue leader in the overall distributed automated software quality (DASQ) market.

On May 2, HP announced that its HP Business Process Testing software earned a 2007 Codie Award in the ‘Best Business Software Solution’ category from the Software & Information Industry Association.

The only peer-recognition awards program of its kind in the industry, Codie awards provide a unique opportunity for companies to earn the praise of their competitors. Codie Awards judges identify the best of the best, with winners determined by a combination of first round judges’ rankings and Software & Information Industry Association member votes – and these awards are now in their 20th year,

HP Business Process Testing software enables collaboration between quality assurance teams and business analysts. The software is part of HP Quality Center, an integrated set of software, services and best practices for automating key application quality activities, including requirements management, test management, defect management, functional testing and business process testing. HP has placed second in the 2007 FinTech top 25 enterprise companies ranking, an international annual listing of the leading technology vendors providing solutions to the financial services industry. The ranking is produced by American Banker and Financial Insights, an IDC company, and recognizes enterprise technology companies that have demonstrated a strong solution focus, established leadership and earned a significant percentage of revenues from the financial services industry.

HP will receive its FinTech 2007 Award and will be recognized for its achievement at an awards ceremony on November 14, 2007 at the BAI Retail Delivery Show in Las Vegas.

For a prestigious third year in a row, American Banker and the research firm Financial Insights have named HP as #2 in the FinTech Top 25 Technology Enterprise Companies, an international annual listing of the top financial services industry technology vendors providing solutions for the industry.

The Association of Support Professionals (ASP) recently recognized HP's consumer support website as one the ten best web support sites in its ninth annual competition. Three enhancements were recognized - the Automatic Product Detection Tool; the HP Technology Center; the HP Printer Check - as making finding online help easier and faster.

Each year, Network World Magazine names 10-12 products as its ‘Best of the Tests’ designees. From the previous 12 months of testing the highest scoring products win an award in the specific product category in which it fits. The HP BladeSystem c3000 Enclosure product received the nod in the category of Network Infrastructure. The BladeSystem c3000 is now available in tower or rack model configurations, and offers a number of other optional features and interconnect modules.

In a recent Network World magazine comparative review of monitoring and management products for midrange networks, OpenView Network Node Manager scored Clear Choice honors. The review notes, “Network Node Manager has a distributed architecture that scales well to handle larger and more complex network environments. HP recently announced that its entire personal workstation line has become the first in the category to achieve a “Gold” listing in the Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT™) – giving HP the largest number of EPEAT Gold registered products in the industry.

The EPEAT registry helps businesses evaluate, compare and select desktop computers, notebooks and monitors based on the products’ environmental attributes and evaluates electronic products in Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers. The program is sponsored by the Green Electronics Council, and its environmental criteria are defined by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

HP’s current line of HP Workstations include the HP xw4550 Workstation, the HP xw4600 Workstation, the HP xw6600 Workstation, the HP xw8600 Workstation, and the HP xw9400 Workstation. HP and its ProCurve Networking by HP division came away the big winners, nabbing victories across nine product categories -- sweeping five categories, including Notebooks and Mobile Computers, SMB Networking Hardware, SMB Volume Servers, Storage Management Software and Network Management Software. The company also won for Program and Support in the Enterprise Wireless LAN category; Technical, Program and Support and the Overall winner for External Data Back-Up; Technical, Program and Support and Overall winner in Network Storage; and the Technical award for Workgroup Color Printers.

The HP Pavilion Desktop PC, HP Pavilion Slimline PC and HP TouchSmart PC have won the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design 2007 GOOD DESIGN Awards. The yearly winners for 2007 were recently announced and are all listed on the Museum’s web site.

HP recently achieved top honors for its innovative imaging and printing technology and products, garnering multiple industry awards in the second half of 2007. The following awards were received awards:

Buyers Laboratory presented the » Outstanding Achievement award to HP for its single function and multifunction printers (MFP). Buyers Lab acknowledged the HP LaserJet M4345xs MFP for the “Outstanding Large Workgroup Monochrome Printer MFP” award and the HP LaserJet M3027 MFP for the “Outstanding Small Workgroup Monochrome Printer MFP” award.

HP was also honored as “Best Printing Hardware Provider” at the recent » Print & Imaging Summit produced by Vision Events®, a Gartner, Inc. (NYSE:IT).

At the recent Consumer Electronics event in Las Vegas (CES), four HP products were honored: Pavilion HDX, Pavilion tx1000z, Pavilion Slimline s3220n PC, and TouchSmart IQ775 PC
