Goetz Graefe is HP Labs' newest HP Fellow. Graefe, who joined HP in 2007, is currently pursuing research in business intelligence, specifically on improving robustness, reliability and total cost of ownership of HP's business intelligence products. In the October issue of T+D (Training + Development Magazine) HP is named as second place overall winner for the ASTD BEST award for 2005. This award is given to organizations that demonstrate enterprise-wide success as a result of employee learning and development, which is done by connecting learning and performance to measurable results.

HP named to Working Mother magazine's list of 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers Working Mother Magazine

HP's commitment to flexible employee work schedules, child-care options, policies that make it easier on parents and its strong female executive leadership earned it a place on Working Mother magazine's 19th annual list of family-friendliest companies. The list rates public and private companies on all areas of work-life balance, with particular emphasis on flexible scheduling, child-care options and time off for new parents.

HP and IBM both received 'Company of the Year' awards in the subcategory Entry-Level Servers for Product Innovation and Support. Awards were presented on Aug. 23 at the XChange '05 Conference.

HP recently achieved Global ISO 9001:2000 certification, establishing a single Global Quality Management System (QMS) within HP -- resulting in a singular approach toward providing products, services and solutions of the highest quality. ISO 9001:2000 certification is a measure often used by large enterprise, government, education and healthcare customers to assess the quality of their suppliers.
In 2001, HP began consolidating single-site certificates into regional certificates. With this global certificate, HP now has all three major geographic regions (Americas, EMEA and APJ) listed on one certificate. HP's global scope of certification is for the design, development, marketing, sales, order fulfillment, procurement, manufacturing, remanufacturing and delivery of the complete range of IT products, services and solutions.

For the 17th time in Working Mother magazine’s 22 years of existence, HP has appeared on its Working Mother 100 Best Companies list. Working Mother honors companies that score highest in categories such as flexibility, leaves for new parents, child care, company culture, advancement of women and compensation.
HP was inducted into the Working Mother Hall of Fame in 2005, was recently honored at the 2007 Working Mother 100 Best Companies Work/Life Congress event.

Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, has rated Hewlett-Packard "strong positive" - its highest rating possible - in a recent report.
Companies rated as "strong positive" are viewed as providing strategic products, services or solutions for their customers. Based on this rating, Gartner advises existing customers to continue with their planned investments and potential customers to consider this vendor as a strong choice for strategic investments.

HP is the only technology vendor among Fortune magazine’s 10 ‘Green Giants’ – a list of companies that have gone beyond what the law requires to operate in an environmentally responsible way. HP owns massive e-waste recycling plants and will take back any brand of equipment; its own machines are 100 percent recyclable.
